When applied, the paint is over-absorbed by the substrate and appears matt or unpainted. For example, when painting on fiberboard, the paint film is still visible just after painting, and it disappears soon.

Reason:

The material to be coated is porous material, such as pine board, fiberboard and putty layer (loose), etc., and the paint applied on its surface is sucked into the hole to make the coating dull or incomplete.

Prevention:

(1) The porous material to be coated should be pre-treated (or surface adjusted) with a pore-blocking paint before painting.

(2) After scraping the surface of the putty, the primer or intermediate coating should be applied after grinding to eliminate the absorption of the surface coating by the putty layer.

(3) Increase the number of coats, this measure is only applicable to occasions where the surface coating is cheaper.
